Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
