Ex- Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.
