A high-ranking Russian military figure has been fatally wounded following an explosion in Moscow, according to an investigative body.
The attack happened on Monday morning when an IED placed beneath a vehicle was set off, resulting in the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov held the position of the head of the armed forces' operational training department.
